SSC Stenographer City Slip 2025: The admit card for the skill test will be released two to three days before the exam date.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notice informing candidates about the exam city details and admission certificate for the skill test of the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Examination 2025. As per the official notice, candidates shortlisted for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ skill test can now check their exam city through the official website at ssc.gov.in.

Candidates will have to log in using their registration number and password to download the SSC Stenographer city slip 2025. The city information has been made accessible ahead of the skill test schedule to allow candidates to plan their travel and reporting arrangements.
The SSC Stenographer city slip 2025 will carry details such as the name of the exam city, date of the skill test, shift timing, and the candidate’s basic information. The commission states that the city slip is only meant to inform candidates about the exam city and schedule. It is not the admission certificate.
The commission further clarified that the SSC Stenographer admit card 2025 will be issued two to three days before the date of the exam. Candidates will be required to download the admit card from the same login portal used for accessing the examination city details. No separate communication will be sent by post.
“The ‘Admission Certificate’ for the said examination will tentatively be available for download 02/03 days prior to the date of examination. The same can be accessed through the designated login module on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.gov.in/) in a similar manner,” the official notice said.

The SSC Stenographer skill test 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on January 28 and January 29. A total of 31,080 candidates are shortlisted for the skill test stage.
Of these, 8,624 candidates are provisionally eligible to appear for the Grade ‘C’ skill test, while 22,456 candidates have been shortlisted for the Grade ‘D’ skill test. The written examination result for the SSC Stenographer 2025 was declared on November 28.
According to the exam pattern, the SSC Stenographer skill test is qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to take a 10-minute dictation test, with a speed of 100 words per minute for Grade ‘C’ posts and 80 words per minute for Grade ‘D’ posts, in either English or Hindi. The Commission has prescribed separate transcription time limits based on the post, language, and scribe requirement.
Recently, the commission issued the tentative SSC exam calendar 2026–27, outlining the schedule for departmental, graduate-level, technical, and constable-level examinations. Candidates can check the detailed schedule and exam timelines on the official SSC website.
