SSC to hold stenographer typing skill test 2025 in first week of March; apply before January 16

Join Careers360 PremiumThe Staff Selection Committee (SSC) will conduct the SSC annual department typing and stenographer skill test 2025, both English and Hindi, in the first week of March 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the typing and stenographer skill test on the official website, ssc.gov.in, before January 16.
The dictation for the stenography skill test speed of (80/100/120 WPM) in Hindi and English will be conducted through "recorded audio CD passage only". Candidates appearing for the skill test in Hindi Language can use inscript or remington keyboard outlays only.
All candidates belonging to SSC eastern region, who are eligible and willing to apply for the annual departmental typewriting and stenographer skill test (80/100/120 WPM) exam 2025 can apply through the proper channel as per the format available on the official website, and the applications duly verified by the concerned user department will be forwarded to SSC(Eastern Region).
However, once the keyboard outlays is opted for by the candidates for the skill test cannot be changed during the examination.
While applying for the exam, candidates are advised to fill in the centre details with diligence, as any request for changes will not be entertained by the commission.
As per the SSC notice, candidates whose offices are located in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands can apply for the exam from the SSC Eastern Region. All other candidates can apply for the test concerned regional office of the Commission.
