State NEET UG counselling 2024 schedule revised; fresh round 2 dates

NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling 2024 schedule has been revised for states following the changes in All India Quota (AIQ) counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). State medical councils have announced the revised counselling dates for admission to 85% state quota seats in MBBS, BDS programmes after the National Medical Commission (NMC) granted approval to new courses and colleges.

According to the revised state NEET counselling schedule available on MCC website, the second round of counselling will be conducted between September 11 and September 27. The last date for joining the allotted institutes is October 5.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Tamil Nadu said that the choice-filling deadline has been extended and the dates will be announced later. “It is for the information to all candidates that the competent authority of MCC has decided to extend the Choice Filling for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2024. As the State counselling has to follow the ALL INDIA QUOTA counselling by MCC it is proposed to extend the process for Choice filling in Round – 2. The Last date for Choice filling will be announced later,” it said.

The Assam medical council has postponed the second round of counselling until further orders while Himachal Pradesh has extended the round 2 choice-filling process till September 16.
