Student in Action 3.0 to be held at Kolkata on March 6: SFI general secretary

Students in Action 3.0: Two large student processions will start from Howrah station and Sealdah station to meet at College Street, Kolkata.
NEW DELHI: 15 anti-RSS-BJP student organisations have merged to form 'United Students of India' (USI), said Students' Federation of India in a press release. USI has already organised two political programmes with the aim of defeating the BJP party. SFI has announced that a student rally will be organised tomorrow in Kolkata, demanding the cancellation of the National Education Policy 2020.
SFI has already organised a mass-scale 'Parliament March' in Delhi under the banner of 'Students in Action' in January. In February, another march and rally under the banner of 'Students in Action 2.0' was held in Chennai.
According to the SFI press release, 'Students in Action 3.0' will be held on March 6, at 12 noon, through a student rally at College Street, Kolkata. Two large student processions from Howrah station and Sealdah station will meet at College Street.

Demand to cancel National Education Policy 2020
The event will be held to call for the defeat of the BJP-RSS and TMC, which according to SFI is an imperative in the current political scenario of West Bengal. The demand is to nullify the National Education Policy 2020 as well as the TMC Government's new State Education Policy, which is based upon the NEP.
Apart from SFI, AISF, PSU, AISB, representatives of DMK student body, Dravidian student body, Assam Chhatra Mukti, Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha will also be present. There will be delegates from Students RJD, Tribal Students Union, and United Students of India.
The official press release read "The students will promote all kinds of struggles and organising resistance against the anti-education BJP-Trinamool government by uniting the largest part of the student society of Bengal and the country. "
