NEW DELHI: The University of Bath is inviting applications for its undergraduate Politics courses for the academic year 2024-25. Students enrolling in the UG politics programme will study about politics on a local, national, and worldwide scale, as well as learn about analysing data and current socio-political issues ranging from political polarisation to climate change.
The application deadline for the UG politics courses beginning in September 2024 at University of Bath is January 31. Students should apply through UCAS. Students must provide a personal statement, a teacher reference, and other required information as part of the UCAS application process.
The department also offers BA (Hons) in international politics and modern languages for students with an interest in studying politics in either French, German, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian.
Students pursuing Class 12 in the CBSE and CISCE boards must achieve an average of 80% in four subjects excluding physical education and other less academic topics, with an additional 85% in one subject.
Students pursuing BSc politics with economics must additionally have a grade 8 in mathematics in Class 10 if they are not studying it in the 12th Standard. Students studying under the CBSE board will be required to appear for the standard maths exam.
The admission criteria for A levels or the International baccalaureate diploma are also listed on each subject page on the official website. If students are unlikely to satisfy the criteria on time, they can first complete an international foundation year with Bath's partner organisation, Bath College. Students who achieve the requisite marks at Bath College are assured advancement to a degree at the University of Bath.
Other UK colleges and universities' international foundation years are also accepted on a case-by-case basis. Students studying under different boards, with other qualifications, or unsure of Class 12 marks should contact University of Bath’s undergraduate admissions desk to check prerequisites.
Applicants additionally need to meet the English language requirements of the University of Bath.
The Department of Politics, Languages, and International Studies provides three-year BSc Politics and International Relations, and BSc Politics and Economics programmes. Both of these courses offers a four-year alternative that includes a professional placement and, or study abroad experience. Indian students will be required to pay £22,800 per year.
Students on a placement year pay £6,330 since they continue to receive University support throughout this period. Tuition fee increases on a yearly basis, up to 5% for each year of the study. Tuition should be paid yearly in accordance with the payment conditions.
