The selection committee of the Directorate Of Medical Education and Research, Chennai, has announced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025 stray vacancy round 2 counselling to fill four BDS seats vacant in the state. The registration and choice filling have begun for the final round on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net.
Candidates not holding any MBBS and BDS seats in the All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota are only eligible to participate in this online counselling. A NEET UG score as low as 113 will also be eligible for BDS admission in Tamil Nadu dental colleges.
As per the eligibility criteria announced by the selection committee, NEET ranks between 1 to 39853 for government quota and up to rank 28279 for management quota will be eligible. The NEET UG cut-off marks range between 665 to 113 for government quota and 641 to 113 for management quota seats.
Registration and choice filling for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG special stray round 2 will close on January 5 at 12 noon.
Candidates should pay an additional security deposit amount of Rs 2 lakh for BDS course for participating in the final round. The security fee has been increased for the special stray round 2 and will be fortified in case the candidate does not join after seat allotment.
However, SC, SCA, and ST candidates are exempted from paying the security deposit if annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
Converts to Christianity from Scheduled Caste candidates are also exempted from the security deposit if annual Income is less than the family income limit. Those who have not previously registered for BDS but have their names listed in the state merit list will have to remit a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 for government quota and Rs 1,000 for management quota.
Four vacant BDS seats are available in self-financing colleges – Adhiparasakthi Dental College and Hospital, Melmaruvathur; Sree Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences, Kanyakumari; Priyadharshini Dental College and Hospital, Thiruvallur; and Sri Venkateswara Dental College and Hospital, Chennai.
