The selection committee of the Directorate Of Medical Education and Research has opened the application window for Tamil Nadu MBBS, BDS counselling 2025. Tamil Nadu is home to 38 government medical colleges — highest in the country. Only those students who have qualified NEET UG 2025 will be eligible to participate in the selection process.

The Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2025 will be held for 85% of permitted seats in government medical colleges, and dental colleges, and for 100% private college seats other than deemed universities. The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) will be filled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) after NEET UG result 2025 declaration.

The last date to register for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2025 has not been announced yet. However, the application window will be open at least five days after the NEET result 2025.

The DME Tamil Nadu has provided two separate links - one for government quota and second for management quota - on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net or tnmedicalselection.org.

“Candidates need not upload the NEET mark sheet, as Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee will check their NEET scores with the National Testing agency’s official results. Candidates just have to upload their NEET Examination hall ticket,” the DME TN officials said.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025 counselling

Candidates can apply for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2025 for medical, dental admissions by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 500. Those belonging to SC, SCA, ST are exempted from paying the application fee.

Additionally, students will have to make payment of a security deposit of Rs 30,000 for government quota and Rs 1,00,000 (Rs 1 lakh) for management quota.

Registration and choice locking will only permitted only to those candidates who are in the merit list published by the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee.
