Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exams 2026: Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) will conduct the Tamil Nadu Class 12 English board exam 2026 tomorrow, March 5, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm.

The TN 12th Public Examination 2026 will be held for a total duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes. The exam is scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm, including 15 minutes provided for reading the question paper.

Around 8,27,475 students will appear for the Tamil Nadu Class 12 (Higher Secondary) board examinations 2026 across the state. This total includes approximately 7,99,692 regular school candidates and 27,783 private candidates.

Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exams 2026: Question paper analysis and answer key

The board will conduct the TN +2 board exams 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm. After the exam, teachers and subject experts will share the Tamil Nadu 12th board exams 2026 question paper analysis.

The TN +2 English exam 2026 consists of a total of 100 marks. Part 1 includes 20 MCQs for 20 marks. Part 2 carries 14 marks through short-answer questions, while Part 3 accounts for 21 marks with 3-mark questions across three sections. Part 4 consists of seven 5-mark descriptive questions totaling 35 marks. An additional 10 marks are allotted for internal assessment.

Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exams 2026: Pattern

The Tamil Nadu +2 English Exam 2026 is conducted for a total of 100 marks and is divided into four parts along with internal assessment. Part 1 consists of 20 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each, totaling 20 marks. Part 2 includes two sections — Section 1 has four questions of 2 marks each (8 marks) and Section 2 has three questions of 2 marks each (6 marks). Part 3 is divided into three sections: Section 1 carries two questions of 3 marks each (6 marks), Section 2 includes two questions of 3 marks each (6 marks), and Section 3 comprises three questions of 3 marks each (9 marks). Part 4 contains seven descriptive questions of 5 marks each, adding up to 35 marks. Additionally, 10 marks are allotted for internal assessment, making the overall total 100 marks.
