On the first day of the Class 10 board exam, Tamil Nadu students will be appearing for part-1 language. As per the schedule, the TN SSLC exam timings are 10 AM to 1.15 PM. Students will get 10 minutes time for reading the question paper and another five minutes for verification of particulars by the candidates.

Students should obtain a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 marks in each subject to clear the board exam 2023. This is applicable for passing in compartmental system also. For subjects other than language, question papers will be in English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu medium.
Students who have failed in one or more subjects in different sessions and direct private candidates can apply for the compartmental examination subject to completion of science practical training. The Tamil Nadu Class 10 supplementary exam will be held in June or July, as per this year’s information bulletin.
