Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025: Round 2 registration ends tomorrow; 3,250 MBBS, BDS seats vacant

Download EBookThe Selection Committee of the Directorate Of Medical Education and Research will close the registration window for round 2 of Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2025 tomorrow, September 18. The choice-filling facility for 7.5% seat reservation for government school students and re-allotment for all other candidates will begin on September 19.
As per the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling schedule, the seat allotment results for both the categories will be announced on September 24 on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net. There are a total of 3,250 seats available in round 2.
Any candidate who has been allotted a seat in round 1 and has opted for upgradation by registering in the website in round 2, the allotted seat will be shown as virtual vacancy in round 2 and all candidates can fill their choice for the said seat during the choice filling in round 2, the officials said.
However, such seats will be allotted in round 2, only if the allotted candidate of round 1 vacates or upgrades to a higher preference.
The re-allotted candidates who have already paid the tuition fee in the round-I have to pay the difference amount only, it clarified.
Tamil Nadu NEET UG round 2 seat matrix
As per the TN NEET UG 2025 round 2 seat matrix, there are 3 BDS seats under the government quota and 16 seats in self-financing colleges.
Under the 92.5% reservation, a total of 159 MBBS seats are vacant in government medical colleges, 2 seats in ESIC, 249 govt seats and 865 management seats in self-financing medical colleges, along with 67 MBBS government seats and 223 management quota seats in private medical colleges.
For Tamil Nadu BDS admission 2025 under the 92.5% quota, 73 dental seats are available in government dental colleges, 635 govt seats and 954 management quota seats in self-financing dental colleges.
Four MBBS seats at Christian Medical College, Vellore, will also be filled through Tamil Nadu NEET round 2 counselling.
