Tamil Nadu extends NEET UG 2025 round 1 choice-filling till August 12 after MCC counselling revision

Try NowThe selection committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research has revised the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling schedule 2025 after the revision of state counselling dates for MBBS, BDS admissions based on the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025. Accordingly, the choice-filling for the first round of TN NEET UG counselling 2025 has been extended till August 12 and the seat allotment result will now be declared on August 14.
The selection committee informed that the choices of candidates are being unlocked as many MBBS aspirants might have locked their choices and have been willing to change their choices based on the All India Quota counselling and seat allotment results.
The candidates who participated in the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2025 counselling and do not wish to modify their choices can leave the choice filling as it is, since it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice-filling. Those who want to edit their choices can login and do so.
MCC NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule has been revised and the NEET UG round 1 seat allotment result 2025 will now be published on August 9. The last date for choice-filling and registration was extended.

In a revision to the list of eligible MBBS, BDS candidates for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling, the state has added two candidates each under the SC category and PwD category. Additionally, four more aspirants are now eligible for admissions, two under the NRI quota and two for Malayalam minority. A total of 72,194 candidates were found eligible for MBBS, BDS admissions .
