TAPMI Manipal reduces PGDM intake from 420 to 300

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 15: The T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal (TAPMI) has decided to reduce intake in its flagship PGDM program from 420 seats to 300 seats. In a first, any private B-School in India has decided to reduce the intake of the flagship programme.
According to Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director TAPMI Manipal, the decision has been deliberated at the Senior Management and TAPMI Trust and the reduction in intake is in line with the new vision for the TAPMI PGDM programme. The TAPMI PGDM programme is being designed to focus on “Leadership through Value Creation”.
He further states that the new design ensures the development of Leadership Capabilities amongst the students through personalised focus involving the unique Young Leader Program, Global Exposure and Cross-functional Flexible Learning.
Prof. Aditya Jadhav, Chairman Admissions, TAPMI, informed that PGDM selection process is also being revised to focus more on self-assessment and achievement orientation. The process will involve a Critical Incident approach to select suitable candidates.
The application process for TAPMI 2019-21 batch has commenced from November 24, 2018, and the last date to apply is January 18, 2019. This year, TAPMI has launched a new programme, PGDM – Marketing and Sales Management with a total of 35 seats on offer. The programme fee for Indian students is Rs. 14 lakh.
TAPMI has received AMBA accreditation in 2018 for a period of three years. The institute also has AACSB accreditation and is one of the few B-schools accredited by AACSB and AMBA along with SPJIMR Mumbai, IIM Calcutta (along with EQUIS Accreditation), NMIMS Mumbai and XLRI Jamshedpur.
