National Teachers Day 2023: 75 teachers across the country will receive the National Awards 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan. All you need to know.

NEW DELHI: National Teachers Day 2023 will be celebrated tomorrow across the country to celebrate the contribution of teachers. Every year, the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as Teachers Day 2023 on September 5.
President Droupadi Murmu will be conferring National Awards to Teachers 2023 to 75 teachers across the country at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Schools, colleges and all educational institutions will celebrate this day by organising cultural events, teachers day essay competition and much more. Students will also be delivering teachers day speech on the significance and history of this day.

On this occasion, the President said: “Teachers' Day is an occasion when the nation honours the profession of teaching and recognises the services and efforts of teachers towards building the future of the students. A teacher is not merely someone who gives the knowledge of subjects for clearing examinations but a teacher is also a mentor and a guide who shows the right path to his student,” she added.
“The role of teachers has acquired new dimensions in the era of technology. The teachers should continuously evolve and adopt the latest methods of imparting education. At the same time, they should also keep in mind the significance of value-based education. The contribution of teachers in building an equitable and inclusive society and transforming lndia into knowledge hub of the world is more important than ever,” the message read.
Fifty school teachers, 13 teachers from higher education and 12 teachers from the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship will be receiving awards from the President. The ministry of education has also started sharing the portfolio of teachers who will be receiving awards tomorrow.

As per the date and time of National Awards to Teachers 2023, the president will facilitate the teachers at 4.15 PM on September 5.

National Award to Teachers 2023: Complete list of awardees
In May last year, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan pitched the idea of ‘Malaviya Mission’ to develop an enabling ecosystem across the country for faculty development. The minister will on September 5 launch the Malaviya Mission Teachers’ Training at Kaushal Bhawan between 11 AM to 12 noon. University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar will also preside over the event.
