Telangana NEET PG Counselling 2024: Final merit list out, round 1 choice filling begins

NEW DELHI: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) Telangana has published the Telangana NEET PG counselling 2024 provisional final merit list. Candidates can now download the merit list through the official website at knruhs.telangana.gov.in.

The Telangana NEET PG counseling 2024 was delayed due to discrepancies in the state merit list and a change in domicile rules that the state government had announced just two days before the Telangana NEET PG 2024 counseling began. The order required PG medical aspirants to have studied at least four consecutive schooling years in the state to be eligible for state quota seats, even if they completed their MBBS from a Telangana medical college.

The decision was then opposed by student groups such as the Students' Federation of India (SFI) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

However, the KNRUHS later published a NEET PG provisional state merit list, and over 3,000 candidates were declared eligible for the counseling process, while 30 candidates were declared ineligible due to their low percentile and completion of MBBS course from other states. Candidates were also given time to report any discrepancies in the list by December 28, 2024.

Candidates who have their names on the final Telangana NEET PG merit list can now participate in the Telangana NEET PG counselling 2024. The final merit list is prepared based on NEET PG rank and other eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks in the NEET PG or NEET MDS can take part in the admission process. They will be allotted seats based on ranks secured, seat availability, and seat reservation criteria.

The Telangana NEET PG seat allotment results will be announced after the choice filling is completed by the candidates. Candidates who do not participate in the first round of counselling will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.

Given below is the list of required documents for Telangana NEET PG counselling 2024.

• Class 12 pass certificate

• Valid photo ID proof

• NEET PG scorecard

• NEET PG admit card

• Secondary School Certificate or date of birth certificate

• MBBS qualifying certificate

• MBBS mark sheets of all professional years

• Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) certificate

• Medical Council Registration certificate

• MBBS study certificate of all professional years

• Caste certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable)

• Physically Challenged (PH) certificate (if applicable)

• Pass certificates from Class 6 to Class 12 and MBBS mark sheets for candidates who studied at Christian Medical College (CMC), Dichpalli

• Pass certificates from Class 6 to Class 12 for candidates who studied at Siddhartha Medical College

• Minority certificate (if applicable)
