HYDERABAD: A 20-year old engineering student jumped from the fifth floor of a building in the campus of his college here on Saturday and ended his life, police said.
The deceased was identified as Abhiroop, a third year student of B Tech (Computer Science and Geospatial Technology) at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Gachibowli here.
A native of Khammam in Telangana, he jumped to his death due to personal issues, according to police. Just before he took the extreme step, Abhiroop had sent a message to his friends on a messaging app about his decision, police added.

IIT Kharagpur has planned to launch postgraduate programmes in medical education soon, director Suman Chakraborty said, adding that the proposal is pending with the National Medical Council.
