NEW DELHI: Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala has started receiving applications for the BE/BTech programme. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online at thapar.edu, the official website for online applications. Uploading the required documents and paying the application fee of Rs. 1,500 need to be done in order to complete TIET Patiala application process.
Selection of the candidates for Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala BE/BTech admissions is done based on their performance in qualifying as well as the entrance examination (JEE Main), followed by the counselling process. Admissions will be based on All India rank in the JEE Main examination.
TIET admission to the BTech (Biotechnology) and BTech (Biomedical Engineering) programmes is done on the basis of the All India NEET rank.

Mode-1 Based on JEE Main/ NEET: HSC with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Mode-2 Based on 10+2: HSC with 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates).

TIET BE/BTech admissions are done based on valid scores in the qualifying examination (class-12) as well as the entrance (JEE Main/ NEET) examination.

Note: In the final round of counselling, any seat remaining vacant through Mode-1 shall be
filled through Mode-2 and vice versa.
