TISS, MP government launch 'MP NIPUN Professionals' for youth to support foundational learning

The TISS Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education will support the state in recruitment and professional development.
NEW DELHI: Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s government in Madhya Pradesh launched ‘Madhya Pradesh NIPUN Professionals’ in partnership with Tata Institute of Social Sciences. In a Twitter and Linkedin post, the institute announced, “We are pleased to announce that TISS is collaborating with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, to create a professional programme that aims to improve learning outcomes of 23 lakh children in Grades 1 to 3.”
It informed that the programme will provide ‘dedicated and catalytic support’ to the district administration in implementation across the states. “The programme offers a unique opportunity for India's brightest and most promising youth to lead large-scale system reform in Madhya Pradesh, working towards achieving foundational learning goals,” the post added.

Selected candidates will be placed across 52 districts of the state for a duration of two years to work closely with the district collector, chief operating officer-zilla parishad and district education team.
However, TISS’s centre of excellence in teacher education will support the state in hiring and professional development of the selected candidates.
