TISSNET 2019: Registration to begin from October 22

Download NowNew Delhi, September 19: TATA Institute of Social Sciences, popular as TISS, Mumbai has released the official notification pertaining to the postgraduate computer-based entrance exam TISSNET 2019.
As per the announcement, TISSNET application form 2018 will be made available both online and offline from October 22, while the examination will be conducted on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in online mode. Aspiring candidates need to submit the application form of TISSNET in online mode until December 10 and the deadline for offline submission of applications is December 12, 2018.
The application will be considered complete only after the payment of the stipulated application fee. The admit cards will be available online on December 26-27, 2018. Around 37,000 candidates appear for this test out of which around 17,000 candidates opt for HRM & LR course.

Eligibility Criteria of TISSNET 2019

Must obtain a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern or 15 years of formal education) across disciplines from any recognised college/university.

Students pursuing three and four-year degree programmes should have cleared all the subjects of semester 1 to semester 4 and semester 1 to semester 6 respectively at the time of filling the application form.

Final year students of Bachelor’s degree will be eligible to apply as well. However, the result of the final examination has to be submitted before the stipulated time for the final admission. The provisional admission will be cancelled if the degree certificate is not submitted.

There is no official mention of the age limit for applying to TISSNET.

TISSNET Exam Pattern 2019
TISSNET 2019 will be conducted in computer-based mode and will comprise 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) related to General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and English Language proficiency. The total duration of the examination is 1 hour 40 minutes or 100 minutes. There will be no negative marking for incorrect responses and each correct answer will be awarded +1. The unanswered questions will not be scored.
TISSNET exam is conducted for 53 Masters in Social Science programmes across the four campuses of TISS, namely, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Tuljapur. Applicants can apply for a maximum of three programmes across any of the two mentioned campuses indicating their order of preference. The merit list will be prepared based on the choices given by the candidate in the application form.
