Join Careers360 PremiumNEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Medical Recruitment Board (TN MRB) has extended the last date to fill out the application form for the recruitment of various assistant surgeon posts. Eligible candidates will now be able to apply for TN MRB recruitment 2024 by July 15 through the official website, mrb.tn.gov.in.
Earlier the last date to fill out the TN MRB 2024 application form was May 15. “The last date for submission of online application and online payment fixed as May 15 is hereby extended up to July 15. The cut-off date for the candidates to register their name in Tamil Nadu Medical Council is revised as on or before July 15,” the official notice read.
The TN MRB recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 2,553 assistant surgeon vacancies in the department. The TN MRB 2024 exam schedule will soon be available on the official website.
Candidates from the general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 to register for the TN MRB 2024. On the other hand, candidates from the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disability (PwD) will have to pay Rs 500.

TN MRB Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for TN MRB 2024 given below.
Age limit: The candidate's age should be up to 37 years as of July 1, 2024. Upper age limit criteria are applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
Educational qualification

The candidate should have a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized University.

Candidate must be a registered practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.

Candidate should have served as House Surgeon (CRRI) for not less than twelve months.
