NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has commenced the application process for the Combined Civil Services Examination (group 1 services) from today, March 28. Interested candidates can apply for TNPSC group 1 recruitment 2024 through the official website, tnpsc.gov.in.
The TNPSC Group 1 application window will remain open till April 27, 2024. Following this, the commission will open the application correction window from May 2 to 4, 2024.
As per the schedule, the TNPSC Combined Civil Services group 1 examination will be conducted on July 13 at various centres across the state. The exam will be administered in a single shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
TNPSC group 1 total vacancies 2024
A recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 90 group 1 vacancies in the department. Among these, there are 16 vacancies for Deputy Collector, 23 for Deputy Superintendent of Police, 14 for Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), 21 for Deputy Registrar, 14 for Assistant Director of Rural Development, 1 for District Employment Officer, and 1 for District Officer.

TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment 2024: Selection process
The selection of candidates will involve a three-stage process, which includes Prelims, mains, and interviews. The Preliminary exam is slated for July 13 and will comprise objective-type questions covering general studies, aptitude, and mental ability tests.
Applicants are required to pay a preliminary examination fee of Rs 100 (Rupees One hundred only) at the time of submitting their online application for this recruitment, unless they are eligible for a fee exemption. Candidates who qualify the prelims examination will appear for the mains exam. Candidates have to pay the Main examination fee of Rs 200.
