TS ECET 2024: Tie-breaking criteria
The exam authority followed the tie-breaking policy given below in case of a tie between two candidates:
Engineering: In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in engineering subject, then the marks obtained in the mathematics subject, and then the marks obtained in physics subject will be considered to decide the relative ranking. In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the four subjects, they will be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. Age of the candidate will be considered at the time of admission for resolving the tie, the older candidate being given preference.
Pharmacy: In case of a tie between two candidates, the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will be preferred.
BSc Mathematics: In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in mathematics subject, and then the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be taken into account to resolve the tie at the time of admission. If it still continues, the older candidate will be given preference.
