TS ICET counselling 2026 schedule out; registration for MBA, MCA admissions begins July 31

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the detailed notification for Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TGICET) counselling. The counselling will be conducted for admissions to MBA and MCA programmes offered by universities and affiliated colleges in the state.

Eligible candidates who qualified in the exam can participate in the web-based TS ICET counselling process by completing online registration, slot booking, certificate verification, fee payment and web option entry through the official counselling portal.

As per the counselling schedule, online filing of basic information, payment of the processing fee and slot booking for certificate verification will be held between July 31 and August 5, 2026.

Candidates must have qualified in the TGICET 2026 results and secured at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) in their qualifying degree examination to participate in the TS ICET counselling process.

Candidates and their parents are advised to fill in as many web options as possible to maximise their chances of securing a seat. They should carefully select colleges and courses based on their preferences before submitting the options.

TGICET 2026 Counselling: Eligibility

  • Candidate must be an Indian national

  • Must satisfy the local/unreserved status requirements prescribed by the Telangana government

  • 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates of the O.U. area, while the remaining 15% are unreserved for eligible candidates

  • The maximum age for scholarship eligibility is 30 years for OC candidates and 34 years for reserved category candidates as of July 1, 2026

  • For MBA, candidates must have a recognised bachelor's degree of at least three years' duration

  • For MCA, candidates should have passed BCA, BSc, BCom or BA with Mathematics at the Class 12 or graduation level

  • Degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are accepted only if they are recognised by the competent authorities

Qualifying TGICET 2026 alone does not guarantee admission; candidates must also fulfil all prescribed eligibility criteria.

Documents required

Candidates must carry the original documents along with two sets of photocopies of the following:

  • TGICET 2026 rank card

  • TGICET 2026 hall ticket

  • Aadhaar card

  • SSC or equivalent marks memo

  • Intermediate or equivalent marks memo-cum-pass certificate

  • Degree marks memorandum

  • Provisional degree certificate

  • Study or Bonafide certificates (class 9 to degree)

  • Transfer Certificate (TC)

  • Income certificate (issued on or after January 1, 2026), if applicable

  • EWS certificate (valid for 2026–27), if applicable

  • Integrated community certificate, if applicable

  • Other relevant documents, as prescribed for the candidate's category

Candidates must visit the official TGICET counselling portal and register using their TGICET 2026 registration number, hall ticket number, and date of birth, then fill in the basic details, including Aadhaar number, mobile number, email ID, and certificate details (if applicable).

The processing fee is Rs 600 for SC/ST candidates and Rs 1,200 for all other categories. The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
