TS Inter 1st Year Exams 2025: Over 17,000 absent on first day; 2 malpractice cases

NEW DELHI: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has started the IPE March 2025 today for 1st year students for the second language paper 1 today, March 5. According to TGBIE, there were 2 malpractice cases in Hanamkonda and Warangal exam centres.

A total of 4,96,899 students appeared for the exam, while 5,14,184 had registered. Over 17,010 were marked absent, making the absent percentage 3.42%.

Additionally, the secretary of TGBIE inspected various exam centres to assess the arrangement for the IPE exams.

According to the TGBIE official statement, the secretary of the TGBIE inspected various exam centers today, to assess the arrangements for the ongoing IPE March 2025 exams. He visited Ratna Junior College, Jahnavi Junior College, Sri Chaitanya Junior Kalasala at Narayanguda in Hyderabad district.

“As part of the inspection, the Hon’ble Secretary has visited Ratna Junior College (Code: 61207), Jahnavi Junior College (Code: 61215), Sri Chaitanya Junior Kalasala (Code: 61230) at Narayanguda in Hyderabad district,” the TGBIE statement said.

TGBIE inspection at IPE 2025 exam centres

The TGBIE secretary inspected the security arrangements, seating arrangements, and compliance with exam rules. TGBIE inspection was aimed to ensure a fair and smooth conduct of the exam while providing a comfortable environment for students.

The officials and college management were directed strictly to adhere to the prescribed guidelines and take all necessary steps to prevent any irregularities at the IPE exam centre. The Telangana Board remains committed to maintaining the integrity and transparency of the examination process.

Observers were sent to various districts including Siddipet, Peddpally, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts from the Board to the exam centers. The observers said the IPE exams were conducted smoothly without any untoward incidents.
