TS PGECET Counselling 2024: Phase 1 web options entry rescheduled again; reservation rule

NEW DELHI: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has revised the web options entry dates for the Telangana State Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2024 counselling phase 1. Candidates who registered for the counselling can now exercise the web options entry from September 4 through the official website, pgecetadm.tsche.ac.in.

“Web options for GATE, GPAT and PGECET is rescheduled to commence from 04.09.2024,” the official website read. Candidates will have to enter the TS PGECET Hall ticket number and date of birth to log in and exercise the TS PGECET choice filling process 2024. The last date to exercise the choice-filling process is September 5.
During this period, candidates can select their preferred institutes and courses. Once the choices are made, they will need to finalize and freeze their options. The institute will open the web option edit window for one day on September 6.
As per the revised schedule, the list of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on a college-wise basis and published on the website on September 9. Candidates are required to report to their respective colleges for the verification of original certificates and to submit the tuition fee payment receipt, if applicable, from September 10 to September 13, 2024. The commencement of class work is scheduled for September 10, 2024.

Candidates can review the reservation criteria for TS PGECET 2024 counselling below.
In Telangana State's affiliated colleges, 85% of the seats in the convener quota are reserved for local candidates, with the remaining 15% being unreserved.
The convener of TS PGECET-2024 admissions will allocate 100% of seats in University Colleges and 70% of seats in unaided, non-minority, and minority professional institutions.
Non-local candidates are only eligible for the 15% unreserved seats, whereas local candidates have access to both the 85% reserved seats and the 15% unreserved seats.
