TS SET result 2018 announced in PDF format; 3759 candidates qualify

New Delhi, September 8: Osmania University has announced TS SET 2018 result on September 7, in PDF format. The result of TS SET 2018 contains the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates for the recruitment of Assistant professors and Lecturers. Candidates can check their result by visiting www.telanganaset.org. TS SET 2018 was conducted on July 15 in offline mode.
Prof. T Papi Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education was quoted saying (who declared the result in a press conference) that as many as 64,994 candidates had applied for the test this year, out of which 51,739 had finally taken TS SET. Out of the total appeared candidates, 3,759 have qualified the test. This number brings the qualifying percentage of candidates to 7.27%.
Along with the announcement of the result, Osmania University has also released the cut off percentage for TS SET 2018. Candidates can check the subject-wise TS SET cut off as per their respective categories. Only those candidates have qualified in the examination securing the cut off percentage as per their respective category and the subjects in the exam are considered qualified.
The exam of TS SET 2018 was conducted for two papers – paper I and II. Paper I was compulsory and common paper of 50 marks, containing objective type questions of 2 marks each. The questions tested candidates’ general awareness, reasoning ability, and comprehension. Paper II had 100 objective questions of 2 marks each from the respective subject selected by the candidates. Both the papers were conducted bilingually, in English and Telugu.
Earlier, the exam was conducted for three papers which was curtailed to only two papers as Paper II and III were both of the same discipline.
TS SET exam 2018 was conducted for 29 subjects at 7 regional centres of Telangana in offline mode. However, from next year onwards, the University is expected to conduct TS SET in computer-based mode.
