TUEE 2020: Tezpur University cancelled entrance exam; Check details

NEW DELHI: Tezpur University has cancelled the Tezpur University Entrance Examination for admissions 2020, due to the prolonged Coronavirus pandemic. The admissions to Tezpur University will be done on the basis of the qualifying examination marks.
The admissions to M.Sc Molecular Biology and M.Sc Biotechnology will be done through GAT-B 2020 examination, an entrance examination conducted by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad,
“There is no sign of improvement in the situation in the country in general and Assam in particular. It is difficult for the aspiring candidates, invigilators and university representatives to reach the test centres located in different parts of the country. It is also difficult to maintain the social distancing and sanitization norms with the large number of candidates in the examination hall. Considering the difficulties the university might face in holding the entrance exams following social distancing norms and aspiring students and invigilators reaching the exam centres, the university has decided to do away with the entrance examination as a one-time measure”. reads an official notice released by Tezpur University.
Registered candidates have to submit grade card and mark sheet of qualifying examination along with the grade to the percentage of the marks conversion formula in case of grading system and other relevant certificates. Candidates have to login using their TUEE 2020 registration credentials for uploading documents. The last date of uploading documents for Tezpur University 2020 admissions is July 31
TUEE 2020 exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted from May 29 to May 31 and then later postponed due to the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown.The application window of Tezpur University 2020 B.Tech programmes will be available till July 15.
