NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is likely to open the UCEED registration portal in the second week of September. Design aspirants meeting the eligibility criteria can apply online for UCEED 2022 by visiting the official website - uceed.iitb.ac.in.
What is a UCEED exam
Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design commonly known as UCEED is a design entrance exam for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. This design entrance exam is open to both national and international students.

Who can apply for UCEED 2022
Aspirants wishing to appear in UCEED 2022 are advised to check and meet the eligibility criteria. Aspirants including foreign nationals need to fulfil the following UCEED eligibility criteria 2022.

OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category applicants must have been born on or after October 1, 1997 whereas SC, ST or PwD category applicants got 5 years relaxation.

Aspirants can attempt the UCEED exam for a maximum of two times in a consecutive year.

Aspirants should have passed the 10+2 exam or its equivalent in any stream from a recognized board.

Aspirants appearing in the 10+2 final exam in 2022 can also appear in the UCEED exam.

About UCEED exam
UCEED is a centre based exam consisting of two parts - Part A and Part B. Aspirants need to attempt both the parts. UCEED part A is a computer-based test and the question paper consists of three sections - Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Question (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Wherein part B contains one sketching question which needs to be solved in the provided answer sheet. The UCEED design entrance exam is of three hours duration with a maximum of 300 marks.
