NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2025 registration with regular fee tomorrow, October 31. Eligible candidates can fill out the UCEED 2025 application form through the official website, uceed.iitb.ac.in.
As per the official schedule, the UCEED exam 2025 will be held on January 19, 2025. The exam will take place in a single shift from 9 am to 12 noon. The institute will issue the UCEED admit card 2025 on January 3 at 1 pm. The last date for rectifying discrepancies in the admit card is January 9, 2025, by 5 pm.
Candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD) categories, and female candidates will need to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000 to register for the exam. Candidates from all other categories will be required to pay Rs 4,000.
For foreign nationals, the application fee is USD 420 for candidates from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries and USD 525 for those from non-SAARC countries. The last date to registration for the UCEED 2025 with a late fee is November 8, 2024.

To apply for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at the participating institutes, including the IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur, applicants must meet all of the following three criteria simultaneously.
Age Limit: Candidates in the OPEN, EWS, OBC-NCL categories must be born on or after October 1, 2000. For SC, ST, and PwD categories, the birth date should be on or after October 1, 1995.
UCEED Qualification: Candidates must have secured a rank in UCEED 2025.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.
As per the official notice, candidates from the science stream with physics, chemistry and mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to all the six participating institutes. Candidates from any other stream are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad only. Admission to the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Design programme at IIT Delhi will be based on JEE (Advanced) rankings. However, the aspirants will also have to qualify for UCEED.
