NEW DELHI, APRIL 6: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the registration process for University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) July 2018 by a week. The candidates applying for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor through UGC-NET can submit their application forms till April 12, 2018. Further, the fees can be paid till April 13, 2018.

The CBSE in an official notification has announced the extension of registration-cum-application process for UGC-NET July 2018. “CBSE has extended the last date for online applications for UG NET JULY 2018 examination from April 5, 2018, to April 12, 2018, (11:59 pm) on receiving the requests from applicants. The fees can be paid till April 13, 2018 (11:59 pm),” said the CBSE notification signed by Anurag Tripathi, Secretary, UGC NET 2018.

Earlier, the last date to submit the application form was April 5, 2018, which, however, has now been extended by seven days.
Moreover, there is no change in other dates of UGC-NET July 2018 examination events.

Identity Proof
The UGC NET applicants can submit any one of the following documents as a proof of identity while filling the application form.
UGC-NET July 2018 Examination
The UGC NET July 2018 applicants will have to appear for the July 8 examination. It will be held in two sessions. The first session will have 50 questions of 2 marks each and will be held for one hour beginning at 9:30 am. The second session having 100 questions of 2 marks each, will be held conducted for two hours beginning at 11:00 am.
The Central Board of Secondary Education administers National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining the eligibility of Indian Nationals for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian Universities and colleges. The CBSE conducts UGC-NET in 84 subjects in 91 cities across the country.
