The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the UGC NET 2023 admit card for phase-1 exam on ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 

The phase 1 of UGC NET 2023 will be held from February 21 to 24. As per the NET 2023 schedule, the UGC NET exam for the December session will conclude on March 10.

There will be no negative marking in the UGC NET exam 2023. 

The NTA will be conducting the UGC NET exam 2023 for phase 1 exam from February 21 to 24.

UGC NET exam is conducted in two papers consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and all questions are compulsory.

As of current NTA rules, UGC-NET does not require a PhD to be able to eligible for the exam.

 The salary for UGC NET-qualified candidates appointed in government institutes ranges from Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000.

The NTA will conduct the UGC NET 2023 phase 1 and 2 exam from February 24 5o March 19, 2023. 

Candidates who with the Junior Research Fellow scholarship will receive Rs. 31,000.00 each month in their first 2 years at the position and for the remaining tenure they will receive Rs. 35,000.00 per month.

• Candidates are required to read all the instructions mentioned on the NET 2023 admit card.
• Candidates must reach the test centre at least 90 minutes before the exam begins.

UGC is conducting UGC NET December 2022 in the month of February & March 2023 in 83 subjects, at selected cities across the country.

Candidates who have at least 55% marks in masters degree or an equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by UGC in humanities and social science, computer science and Applications, electronic science etc. are eligible. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not eligible to be considered for the award of JRF.

The UGC NET is an exam to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. 

UGC-NET is conducted twice every year (June and December). Due to the outbreak of COVID- 19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the cycles of UGC NET were merged and conducted together.

According to the official notice issued by the NTA, UGC NET 2023 admit card will be released in the second week of February. The UGC NET exam for phase 1 will begin on February 21 and will conclude on February 24.
