UGC NET 2024 application form last date tomorrow; correction date, latest updates

UGC NET June 2024 Exam Date: The NTA will be conducting the exam on June 16 to award JRF, eligibility for assistant professor, and PhD admission.
NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) application window will be closed tomorrow, May 19. Candidates who have registered for the exam will be given one more day after registration deadline to make the exam fee payment. As per the schedule, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET June 2024 exam on June 16.

Candidates will have to fill the UGC NET application form 2024 on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC NET registration window will be inactive after May 19 midnight. The last date to make payment is May 20 up to 11.59 pm.
Those belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,150 to appear in the NTA NET exam. Whereas, students belonging to General-EWS or OBC-NCL category will have to pay Rs 600, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Person with Disability (PwD), and transgender will have to deposit Rs 325.
The UGC NET 2024 will be held in OMR-based test mode this year for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for assistant professor and PhD admission.

After the University Grants Commission decided to grant admission to PhD programmes through NET exam, Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University ( JNU ), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have announced to offer admission through NTA NET score. The universities used to conduct their own entrance exams for PhD. However, JNU has announced it will not be conducting a separate exam from this year.
Candidates who have already submitted their application form will be allowed to make edits in the particulars submitted during the correction period. The UGC NET correction facility was also postponed as the registration date was extended twice. As per the revised schedule, NTA NET correction window will open on May 21.
