UGC NET December 2024 Live: NTA NET day 1 exam conclude; exam analysis, answer key, latest updates

According to the National Testing Agency (NTA)'s weeding out rules, the records of the UGC NET 2024 result will be retained for up to 90 days from the date of declaration.

UGC NET December 2024 shift 2 exam will be concluded at 6 pm today. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from January 3 to 16, 2025 in online mode.

In UGC NET 2024 exam, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. 

UGCE NET December 2024 shift 2 exam begins. The exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours till 6 pm.

NTA will soon commence the UGC NET 2025 December shift 2 exam. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.

• Print a hard copy of your UGC NET 2024 admit card and verify it for any discrepancies.
• Carry two passport-size photographs along with the admit card.
• Reach the UGC NET 2024 exam centre at least one hour before the scheduled reporting time to avoid last-minute stress.
• Bring a government-issued photo ID that matches the details on your admit card. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar card, driving licence, voter ID, PAN card, passport, or other valid photo identification.

UGC NET December 2024 shift 2 exams will conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates should report to the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts.

There is no limit on the number of attempts for the UGC NET exam. Candidates can apply and appear for the exam as many times as they want.

For general category candidates, the UGC NET 2024 qualifying marks are 40% aggregate across both papers. For candidates belonging to PWD, SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and transgender categories, the qualifying marks are 35% aggregate in both papers.

In order to qualify the UGC NET December 2024 exam, candidates belonging to the general category need to obtain at least 40% marks whereas reserved category aspirants are required to score a minimum of 30% marks.

The UGC NET December 2024 exam is being held in 284 examination cities across India. Candidates can check the exact exam centre on their UGC NET admit card 2024. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 January 3 exam shift 1 at 9 am. Paper 2 is being held in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon. 

The steps to download UGC NET admit card 2024 are as follows: 

• Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in
• Click on the link to download admit card
• Enter application number, date of birth, and security pin
• Press the submit button
• UGC NET admit card December 2024 will be displayed
• Download the hall ticket and take a print out

According to the UGC NET December 2024 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses. No marks will be given for unanswered or un-attempted questions.

For UGC NET December 2024, the candidates are required to report at the examination centre two hours before the commencement of the examination so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities. Registration desk will be closed 30 minutes prior to the exam. 

Candidates appearing for the UGC NET December 2024 exam are required to bring the following to the exam centre: 

• Printed copy of UGC NET admit card December 2024. 
• One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the online application form) for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at centre during the examination. Any one of the authorized photo IDs –Aadhar Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/Passport(With photograph).

The December session of the UGC NET 2024 will be held in two shifts. As per the exam timings, paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon while paper 2 will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
