UGC NET June 2024 Results Live: NTA exam result date soon; marking scheme, scorecard details

The UGC NET 2024 result for the June session is expected to be declared soon, possibly within this week. The UGC NET exam result 2024 will be out at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as application number and date of birth to access UGC NET results 2024.

NTA will issue an e-certificate and JRF award letters at ecertificate.nta.ac.in. Candidates will be able to download their UGC NET certificate in online mode. After the results are declared qualified candidates may apply to Indian universities and colleges for the assistant professor posts. Candidates who qualified for the UGC NET 2024 Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam will be able to pursue their research on the chosen subject.

In case you lose your UGC NET eligibility certificate, NTA will provide a duplicate certificate.

The UGC NET exam was held on June 18, however, it was canceled due to an alleged paper leak.

• For each correct response, candidate will get two marks.

If applicants forget their application number, then they can obtain their application number by following the steps below:

• Visit the UGC NET official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

• On the login, window click on the ‘Forgot Application Number’ link available.

• Enter the required details such as your name, father’s name, mother’s name, DOB and security pin will be visible on the screen. 

• Click on ‘Get UGC NET Application Number.’

• Your UGC NET 2024 application form number will be re-generated and sent to your registered mobile number.

Candidates who appeared for UGC NET June 2024 are demanding UGC NET result 2024 expected date amidst delay in the declaration of NET results.

NTA conducted the UGC NET exams from August 27 to September 5. The exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects.

Candidates belonging to the general category need to score 40% marks while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) aspirants will be required to have 35% marks to qualify the UGC NET June 2024 exam.

No, there will not be any negative marking in UGC NET June 2024 exam, therefore, no marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers given by the candidates.

A Supreme Court advocate wrote a letter to the University Grants Commission (UGC) chief M Jagadesh Kumar urging him to take swift action in declaring UGC NET 2024 results. The advocate, Ujjawal Gaur, explained how aspirants have been suffering, starting from the paper leak, re-exam and now with the prolonged delay in result. He believes that a judicial intervention may be the last resort in case UGC NET result 2024 is not declared immediately and said he's prepared to take legal steps. 

The marks obtained by candidates in the UGC NET June 2024 exam for category 2 and 3 will be valid for one year from the date of declaration of UGC NET June 2024 result, as per the information bulletin.

The president of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) wrote a letter to Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan demanding declaration of UGC NET result 2024. "This delay is not just an administrative issue but a serious setback for students at critical stages in their academic and career plans," said Varun Choudhary in the letter. He urged the education ministry to address this issue immediately.
