UGC NET June 2024 cancellation, rescheduling

The UGC NET exam was initially conducted on June 18, however, it was cancelled due to alleged paper leak. The Ministry of Education called off the test, held in a pen and paper mode on a single day for the first time, after receiving inputs on a “compromise” in the integrity of the exam from the cyber crime branch.

The NET exam is administered twice a year to determine the eligibility of aspirants for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment of assistant professor in Indian colleges and universities, and for admission into research programmes.
