NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 results for the June session will be announced tomorrow, October 18. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to access the UGC NET result 2024 link by visiting the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. "NTA will declare the Result of UGC NET June 2024 by 18th October 2024," NTA posted on X.
The UGC NET 2024 exam for the June session was conducted from August 21 to September 5. The NTA conducted the UGC NET 2024 exam for 83 subjects in this session. Candidates will have to enter their application number and password to log in and download the UGC NET 2024 scorecard. The NTA has issued the UGC NET 2024 final answer key, which is available on the official website.
Candidates from the general or unreserved categories must score at least 40 per cent to pass the exam, while those from reserved categories need a minimum of 35 per cent to clear the UGC NET June session exam.
UGC NET scores will be used to award the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appoint assistant professors in Indian universities, and offer admission to PhD programmes.

There are no limits on the number of attempts for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). However, for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), candidates must be under the age of 30 and can only attempt the exam while they are within this age limit.

He stated that he is prepared to take the necessary legal action.

The UGC NET Result 2024 will use a normalisation method for exams conducted in multiple shifts. The raw marks obtained by candidates in different sessions will be converted to NTA Scores (percentiles). For subjects tested across multiple shifts, the NTA Score will be derived from the raw marks achieved by each candidate. These calculated NTA Scores from all shifts will be combined for further processing to determine allocation. In instances where percentiles vary across shifts, the lowest percentile will act as the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates.
