NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET December 2022) registration date till January 23, 2023. Candidates will now be able to apply for the UGC NET 2022 December exam on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, till Monday.

The NTA decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC NET December 2022, as aspirants could not upload the photo, documents and could not make payment of requisite application fee due to heavy rush on the last date.
The UGC NET exam is held to determine the eligibility criteria for assistant professor as well as Junior Research Fellowship and assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.

“The candidate should ensure that all information entered during the online registration process is correct. As this is the extended time period, no correction facility will be provided,” the NTA in its latest notice said.

“Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online application form are their own or parents/guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered mobile number only,” it added.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for UGC NET Dec 2022 exam.
- Visit the UGC NET official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the UGC NET Dec 2022 registration link on the homepage.
- Click on “New registration”
- Enter a vail email address, mobile number to generate login credentials.
- Fill out UGC NET application form 2023.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
- Submit the UGC NET application form and download the confirmation page for future use.
