UGC NET 2023 Result: NTA NET scorecard at ugcnet.nta.nic.in today; cut-off, direct link

The UGC NET result December 2023 is expected to come out sometime today, January 17, 2024. 

In order to pass the UGC NET Dec 2023 candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks of the UGC NET exam are 40% for general category candidates and 35% for reserved category candidates.

Candidates can access their UGC NET December result by entering their credentials into the website along with the security pin. 

There is no limit on attempts for the UGC NET exam. Candidates looking to qualify for the post of Assistant Professor can attempt the exam as many times as they would like. However, candidates must be below 30 to qualify for JRF, and can only attempt the UGC NET exam while they are within the age limit.

For multi shift papers, NTA conducts a normalisation process that converts a candidate’s raw marks into percentile (called NTA Score). Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) will be eligible to receive stipend subject to their finding placement in universities or Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The validity period of the offer will be three years from the date of issue of JRF award letter.

Candidates belonging to general category should secure minimum of 40% in both paper 1 and 2 and reserved category candidates should score at least 35% to qualify the NTA UGC NET December 2023. 

A total of 9,45,918 candidates appeared in the UGC NET December 2023 exam in 292 cities across the country. The NET results for the exams held from December 6 to 19 will be declared today.
