UGC NET December 2024 registration deadline extended by one day; application correction dates revised

UGC NET December 2024: Eligible candidates can apply by tomorrow, December 11 up to 11: 59 pm through the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to register for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December session 2024 by tomorrow, December 11. Candidates who have not applied yet can fill the UGC NET application form 2024 for the December session through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
“The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC– NET December 2024, the official notice read.
NTA has also extended the last date for submission of the examination fee by one day. Candidates can now fill out the UGC NET December 2024 application fee by December 12. Earlier, the last date to submit the application form was December 10, and the fee payment deadline was December 11.
With the extension of the registration deadline, the NTA has updated the application correction schedule for UGC NET December 2024 exam. As per the official notice, candidates will now be able to make correction window to their UGC NET December 2024 application form on December 13, 14.
“Candidates can make Corrections in the details submitted by them in their Forms Online through the Correction window at https:// ugcnet.nta.ac.in during the period when the correction/editing window is made live,” the official notice read.

UGC NET December 2024 exam date
The UGC NET December 2024 exam is schedule to be held from January 1 to 19, 2025. The UGC NET 2024 exam for December session will take place in for 85 subjects to determine eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as assistant professor, and PhD admission.
To register for the UGC NET 2024 December season exam, candidates in the general or unreserved category must pay a registration fee of Rs 1,150. Those belonging to the general-EWS and OBC-NCL categories need to pay Rs 600, while candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and person with disability (PwD) categories are required to pay Rs 325.
