UGC NET revised exam date announced for December session; exams on January 21, 27
NTA UGC NET exam on January 15 rescheduled. UGC NET admit card 2025 for new exam dates soon at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

NEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the new exam date for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024. The January 15 exam which was postponed will now be held on January 21 and 27. Aspirants can check NTA UGC NET exam schedule on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
NTA will issue the revised UGC NET admit card 2025 for the rescheduled exams soon. UGC NET exam was postponed on account of festivals such as Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami. The testing agency postponed UGC NET after receiving representations from candidates. Tamil Nadu ministers also wrote to Union education minister Dhamendra Pradhan seeking postponement of UGC NET exam date .
UGC NET is being held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The exam will be conducted twice every year for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as assistant professor, and admission to PhD programmes in colleges and universities.
