UGC NET 2025 application form out; exams for 85 subjects from June 21-30

UGC NET Exam 2025: The last date to register for the June session exam is May 7. Apply at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2025) June session exam. Eligible candidates can apply for the UGC NET June 2025 exam through the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET June 2025 application window will remain open till May 7. The correction window for editing the submitted forms will be available from May 9 to May 10. The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode from June 21 to June 30. The testing agency will conduct the UGC NET June 2025 exam for 85 subjects.
"Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only, as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only," the official notice said.
UGC NET June 2025: Application fee
The application fee for UGC NET 2025 is Rs 1,150 for general category candidates. Candidates belonging to the General-Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backwards Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) are required to pay Rs 600. For candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories and transgender applicants, the fee is Rs 325. As per the official schedule, the last date to submit the application fee is May 8.
UGC NET 2025 June Registration: Age limit criteria
The age limit criteria for the UGC NET June 2025 exam is given below.
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the candidate should not be more than 30 years old as on June 1, 2025.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for UGC NET for the post of Assistant Professor.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for UGC NET for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.

UGCE NET June 2025 Application Form: Document specifications
Candidates will have to upload their photographs and signatures in the format given below while submitting the UGC NET June application form 2025.
Photograph
- The photograph should show 80% of the face with ears visible against a white background
- Spectacles are allowed if worn regularly
- Polaroid or computer-generated photos are not accepted
- An application without a photo will be rejected
- Keep 6 to 8 passport-size colour photos for future use
- Upload a passport-size photo with a file size between 10 kb and 200 kb in the online form and paste the same on the attendance sheet.
Signature
- Do not write the full name in capital letters in the signature box; it will not be accepted and the application will be rejected
- Unsigned online application forms will be rejected
- The candidate should sign in full on a white paper using a blue or black ink pen and scan for uploading
- The file size of the scanned signature must be between 4 kb and 30 kb
