UGC NET June 2025 starts tomorrow; exam pattern, marking scheme

UGC NET exam 2025 will be held from June 25 to June 29. Candidates can download UGC NET admit card 2025 on ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start conducting the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2025 tomorrow, June 25. As it is mandatory to carry UGC NET admit card 2025, candidates are advised to download it from the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and keep two copies.

As per UGC NET 2025 June exam date , the computer-based tests will be held from June 25 to June 29 in two shifts – morning shift from 9 am to 12 noon and afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Examinees are also advised to check the reporting time and reach the examination centre mentioned in the UGC NET 2025 admit card accordingly for verification purpose. No aspirant will be given entry once the exam begins. They must follow the NTA's guidelines on UGC NET 2025 dress code and things to carry.
UGC NET exam is held twice every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as assistant professor in Indian universities, and admissions to PhD programmes.
UGC NET June 2025 exam pattern
UGC NET June 2025 question paper will comprise two sections having multiple-choice questions. The medium of question paper will be English and Hindi.

UGC NET 2025 marking scheme
UGC NET marking scheme 2025 is as follows:
- For each correct response, the candidate will get two marks.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.
- No marks will be given for questions left unanswered or un-attempted or marked for review.
- If a question is found to be incorrect or ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who attempt the question and choose one of the correct answers would be given grace marks.
- If a question is found to be incorrect and the question is dropped, two marks will be awarded to only those candidates who have attempted the question.
