NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) asks all higher educational institutions to take the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR) graduate income index (GII) survey. The last date to fill the survey is March 15, 2023.
The aim of the survey is to strengthen and streamline the higher education in agriculture in the country. Graduates that have completed one-year post completion of under graduation in non-agriculture fields and are currently working for any organisation are eligible to fill the GII survey.

"We request your support to promote the graduate income index (GII) by circulating this letter to universities and colleges offering UGC approved four-year degree programmes such as BTech/BE/BPharm/HMCT, except agri and allied courses," read the UGC notice.
ICAR will be creating an alumni database by launching the income index under the National Agricultural Higher Educational Project (NAHEP) project. NAHEP was launched with the financial assistance from the World Bank in 2017. The overall aim of the project is to develop resources and mechanisms for supporting infrastructure, faculty and student advancement.
