NEW DELHI: The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) will close the registration window for the recruitment of various Sub-Inspector (SI) posts today, March 22. Eligible candidates should fill out the UKPSC 2024 application form by visiting the official website at psc.uk.gov.in.
Initially, the application window for the exam was open from January 31 to February 20. However, it was later extended to March 22. The UKPSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 222 SI posts. Among these vacancies, there are 108 posts reserved for police Sub-Inspector (SI) posts, 24 posts for fire station second officers, and 89 vacancies for platoon commander (Gulmnayak) positions.
To be eligible for the UKPSC SI vacancy 2024, candidates' age should be between 18 years old to 28 years old, depending on the specific posts. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, for the post of fire station second officer, preference will be given to candidates who hold a minimum 6-month computer application certificate.
UKPSC Recruitment 2024: Selection process
The UKPSC SI selection process includes a physical measurement test (PMT), physical efficiency test (PET), written examination, document verification, and medical examination.
Candidates who clear the physical tests will proceed to the written exam and then undergo a medical examination. Physical tests are qualifying in nature, and the final merit list is based on performance in the written exam.
