Mumbai University extends LL.M. CET 2026 registration deadline till May 15 at mu.ac.in

MU revises LL.M. CET 2026–27 application schedule; entrance exam to be held in centre-based online mode

The University of Mumbai has revised the application schedule for the LL.M. Common Entrance Test (LL.M. CET) 2026–27 and extended the online registration deadline to May 15, 2026 till 11 am. Earlier, the registration window was scheduled to close on May 11. Applicants can apply on the Mumbai university website at mu.ac.in.

The entrance test will be held in a centre-based online examination mode. The university will soon announce the revised examination date on its official website.

The MU has fixed different application fees for various categories of candidates applying for the LL.M. CET 2026–27. General category applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 850, while candidates belonging to reserved categories must pay Rs 500. The reserved category includes candidates from VJ/DT-NT (A,B,C,D), OBC, SC, ST, and SBC communities.

Mumbai University LL.M. CET 2026-2027: Steps to apply

Candidates can apply for the LL.M. CET 2026 by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of the Mumbai university website at mu.ac.in
  • Click on “Online LL.M. CET Exam – 2026–27”
  • Aspirants need to register using the required details
  • Fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, make the payment and submit
  • Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference

Mumbai University LL.M. CET 2026: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who have completed either a three-year or five-year LL.B. programme from the University of Mumbai or any recognised university are eligible to apply for the entrance examination. Students currently appearing in the final semester of their LL.B. course can also register for the CET.

According to the eligibility requirements, general category candidates must have secured a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examination. Reserved category applicants are required only to possess a pass certificate in the qualifying degree examination. Final-year LL.B. students are also permitted to submit their applications for the entrance test.
