NEW DELHI: In UP board exams 2023 for Classes 10, 12, a total of 31,08,584 students registered for Class 10 first shift exam for Hindi and general Hindi paper. Of which, 2,17,702 students were absent. In Class 12 military science exam, a total of 5,640 students registered out of which 487 remained absent. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) conducted 10th, 12th board exams 2023 today under the surveillance of voice-recording CCTV cameras installed at 8,753 examination centres.
25,80,544 students registered for UP board Class 12 exams 2023 second shift held from 2pm to 5:30pm for Hindi and general Hindi paper. Of this, 1,83,865 students remained absent.

A total of 9 proxy candidates including five from Ghazipur, one from Mathura, one from Jaunpur, Bulandsheher and Lucknow each were found during checking of the examination centres in Class 10 Hindi paper held in the first shift from 8 am to 11:15am. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against these proxy candidates as well as against Yogendra Yadav, principal of Suchit Nandan Inter College, Vishnupura, Ghazipur.
Moreover, 10 students of Class 10 including 7 male and 3 female and one Class 12 students were caught using unfair means during UP board exams 2023.
The UPMSP class 10th, 12th exams are being held between February 16 and March 4, for a total of 14 working days. For the first time this year, stitched answer sheets have been arranged to write the UP board exams. The QR code and logo of the board have been printed on the answer sheets printed in four colours. This year, the examination of 20 marks multiple choice questions (MCQs) is being conducted on OMR sheet.
