The Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh has announced that the UP Board Class 10 and 12 compartment and improvement exam 2026 will be held on July 28. UP board Class 10 improvement and compartment exam 2026 for Class 10 will be held in the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am.

The UP board Class 12 intermediate compartment exam will be held in the evening shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Furthermore, the project-based practical exams and internal assessment exams for the Class 10 improvement and compartment exam 2026, and the practical examinations for Class 12 compartment exam 2026, will be held on July 16 and 17, for candidates who had applied online.

UP board compartment exam guidelines 2026

The UP board 2026 10th, 12th compartment and improvement exams will be held at exam centers designated by the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) at the district headquarters. The DIOS will ensure the following arrangements at the centers.

  • Entry of external persons other than candidates, center administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff is strictly prohibited.
  • Centre administrators will ensure that unnecessary crowds do not gather at the entrance, and similar arrangements will be made after the exam ends.
  • Carrying mobile phones, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
  • CCTV cameras with voice recorders and routers must remain fully operational in the rooms during the examination.
  • Question papers must be kept in double-lock cupboards within the designated strong room, similar to the main exams.
  • The rooms will be under 24/7 CCTV surveillance with voice recording. Packets of question papers must be opened and distributed in the presence of the Center Administrator, External Center Administrator, and Static Magistrate under CCTV monitoring.

As per the UP Board’s notice, the school principals must ensure that the subject-wise list of marks for Class 10 internal assessments and the OMR sheets containing marks for Intermediate practical exams are submitted to the regional offices by July 20.
