Speculations are that the Uttar Pradesh Board exams 2021 are likely to be cancelled, the Times of India reported. On April 15, UPMSP had extended the UP Board exam date 2021 until May 20.
Seventeen out of the 19 secondary education officials have been unable to join work after they contracted COVID. Besides, deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma also tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
“Considering the rapid rise in infected cases, it will be risky to conduct exams for such a large number of students. A plan is being worked out,” said an official, the report added.
Earlier, the UP Board exam date 2021 Class 10 and 12 were scheduled to begin from May 8, 2021. Also, UPMSP said that the new UP Board exam date 2021 for Class 12 and 10 will be announced soon as the situation normalizes.
A total of 29,94,312 students who registered for the UP Board Class 10 exam 2021 and 26,09,501 students for Class 12 exams are now waiting for the board's decision.
