UP board exams 2021 likely to be conducted in April-May: Report

NEW DELHI : Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) may conduct UP board Class 10, 12 exams in April-May 2021. “The exam dates for both Class 10, 12 would depend on the dates of upcoming Panchayat elections in the state,” said deputy chief minister and minister for secondary education Dinesh Sharma, TimesNow News reported.
The report further said that the decision regarding the UP board exam 2021 dates will be taken after a meeting with a senior official within 14 days.
Earlier, the district inspector of schools Dr Mukesh Kumar Singh said that the first pre-board of UP board Class 10, 12 will be conducted between January 15 to 25, 2021. In addition to this, the second pre-board will be conducted in the state in March 2021.
Uttar Pradesh board has reduced the syllabus for Classes 9 to 12 by 30 per cent for the academic session 2020-21. The syllabus has been cut short due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had announced on December 31 that the CBSE board exams will be held from May 4 to June 10, 2021.
