NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will commence the UP board Class 10, 12 exams from tomorrow, February 22. The Uttar Pradesh administration is adopting various measures to ensure fair conduct of exams like live monitoring, CCTVs and others.

The board has identified around 776 exam centres as sensitive and 275 centres are identified as highly sensitive in the state. These centres will be invigilated by the local intelligence unit along with the UP Police and STF.

A total of 16 districts in the state have been declared highly sensitive by the the board for UPMSP high school and intermediate exams.

These districts include Mathura, Baghpat, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Etah, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Deoria and Gonda. A total of total 55,25,308 candidates including 29,47,311 students for Class 10 and 25,77,997 for Class 12 have registered for the UP Board exams this year.

These candidates will appear for the UPMSP 10th, 12th exams 2024 at 8,265 centres across 75 districts of the state, UP Board secretary Dibyakant Shukla informed. Of which 257 candidates are inmates lodged in prisons of the state, 139 are to appear in class 12 exams while 118 will take class 10 exams.

"Arrangements for DVR (digital voice recorders), router devices and high-speed internet connections have also been made." he added.

UP board Class 10, 12 exams would conclude on March 9, 2024. As per officials, control centres have been set for the first time at UP Board headquarters in Prayagraj as well as all the five of its regional offices at Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Gorakhpur for the 24x7 vigilance and security of question papers.

Apart from this, QR code and Board’s logo have also been printed on all numbered and four-colour printed answer sheets as done last year.
