UP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 registration deadline extended; how to apply

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh has extended the registration date for the round 1 UP National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling 2026. As per the notice, applicants can register from August 13 at 11 pm to August 14 till 2 pm, 2026 and aspirants can deposit registration fee and security money till 5 pm.

Candidates can submit the registration form on the official website of DGME at dgme.up.gov.in. The UP MBBS counselling is conducted based on the applicant's NEET scores and the seats are allotted on the basis of the merit list and document verification.

The official notice reads, "In continuation of the time table issued by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), New Delhi for counseling of NEET UG course, the Extended time table of first round of online counseling registration for admission of state quota seats of UG course (MBBS/ BDS) in Government/Private Medical/Dental Colleges/Universities. All information related to UP NEET UG 2026 counseling will be uploaded on the Departmental website https://upneet.gov.in and www.dgme.up.gov.in."

UP Round 1 NEET UG Counselling 2026: Steps to register

To fill out the registration form, eligible candidates can follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official portal of UP NEET counselling at upneet.gov.in
• Fill out the application form, upload the required documents and certificates
• Make the payment of registration fee & security money and then submit
• Download the registration form and take a copy of the form and payment receipt for further reference

The round 1 UP NEET UG counselling 2026 registration is for admission to state quota MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical and dental colleges and universities across Uttar Pradesh. UP NEET admissions 2026 will be conducted in four rounds, including a stray vacancy round.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Document verification

Applicants will need to provide documents such as domicile certificate (to fulfil the eligibility criteria), NEET hall ticket, caste certificate (if applicable), NEET 2026 result and two passport-size photographs for the verification process.
